Accidents, falls, stress, sports and other
injuries, overexertion, and countless other factors can result
in a displacements or derangements of your joints and your
spine, and in some cases also causing irritation to spinal
nerve roots. Your spinal column is a series of movable bones
which begin at the base of your skull and end in the center
of your hips. Thirty-one pairs of spinal nerves extend down
the spine from the brain and exit through a series of openings.
The nerves leave the spine and form a complicated network
which influences every living tissue in your body.
These irritations and misplaced joints often cause discomfort,
pain, neurological symptoms and often related muscle spasms
in the body. Chiropractic reduces or eliminates this irritation
to spinal nerves and associated muscle spasms through a series
of manipulative therapy called adjustments. There is also
emphasis on reducing inflammation, scar tissue, tight and
spastic muscles and other soft tissue irritation in modern
chiropractic utilizing physical therapy modalities and Active
Release Techniques, ART™
The result is usually an instant relief of discomfort and
pain thus allowing your body to operate more comfortably
and normally again.
